The Jar

50ml. Three colourways. One bio-composite material.

The Agropak jar is a 50ml cosmetic jar made from coconut shell powder and bamboo fiber, compression molded into a rigid form with an inner cosmetic-grade barrier coating. It has a screw-thread lid, a liner insert, and outer dimensions that fit standard filling and labelling lines.

The material contains no petroleum plastic. Bio-based carbon content is 93%, verified by TÜV SÜD. Compression-tested to 15,492 N at CIPET, Bengaluru.

Documented Properties

What sustainable means here, specifically.

Sustainable is an overused word in packaging. These are the specific, audited properties that apply to Agropak jars — each traceable to a source document.

93% bio-based carbon origin

Measured by radiocarbon analysis under ASTM D6866, the internationally recognised standard. Verified by TÜV SÜD (May 2026). An independently audited figure, not a supplier estimate.

Agricultural co-product feedstock

Coconut shell is a by-product of coconut processing. Bamboo grows without replanting and without plantation timber's land-use footprint. Neither raw material competes with food crops.

No petroleum polymer binder

Conventional composite packaging often uses petroleum-derived resins as binder. Agropak's compression-molding process does not. The 7% non-bio-based content consists of processing agents, not structural polymer.

Mechanical integrity without plastic

15,492 N compressive strength tested at CIPET shows the material handles supply chain loads without petroleum-derived structural support. The jar works without plastic carrying its mechanical load.

Material Expressions

Three colourways. No dyes added.

The colour comes from the source material itself. Coconut shell gives deeper, darker tones. Bamboo fiber gives the warmer, sandier variants.
