Engineering Natural Fiber Materials for Beauty & Personal Care
Agropak is a natural fiber materials platform creating premium bio-based packaging solutions for beauty and personal care. Our 50 mL cosmetic jar is the first validated application.
Material Technology
The Material System Behind the Packaging
Not a coating. Not a liner.
The fiber composite is the packaging.
Composition
Coconut shell powder and bamboo fiber, engineered into a rigid packaging structure. No petroleum plastic in the construction.
Compatibility
Same fill lines, closures, and logistics as conventional plastic. Brands change the material, not the operation.
Validation
93% bio-based carbon (TÜV SÜD) / 15,492 N compression (CIPET) / 0.8m drop test passed / 2-yr shelf life validated.
The Application
The 50ml Jar — First Validated Application of the Material System
Agropak's bio-composite material combines coconut shell powder and bamboo fiber with a cosmetic-grade barrier coating. The result is a rigid, durable jar that fits existing fill lines and holds up to standard shelf-life conditions.

Material Expressions
Three colourways. Nine combinations. No dyes.
Each colourway is a natural expression of the bio-composite material. The colour comes from the source materials themselves. Jar and lid are interchangeable across all three — giving brands nine distinct presentations from a single format.
Independent Validation
Not just a claim. A test result.
Every performance number on this site comes from an independent lab report. We do not publish numbers we cannot show a source for.
Real-World Compatibility
Assessed across the skincare formulation categories brands actually use.
Before making the jar available for brand evaluation, Agropak conducted an internal compatibility study across common skincare formulation categories — including face creams, body butters, sunscreens, and gel creams.
No change in colour, viscosity, or scent was observed. No material migration was detected. Third-party formulation certification is in progress.
From Brands Who Evaluated
What packaging teams said after testing.
We were looking for packaging that reflects where our brand stands — at the intersection of modern science and Ayurveda. Agropak delivered exactly that. Our first 30 customers across 6 European countries hadn't seen anything like it. They were eager to see it in market.
As a biodesigner and researcher, I've seen a lot of greenwashing in sustainable packaging. Agropak's different — the material is genuinely innovative, utilizing agricultural byproducts like coconut shell to create a fully functional jar. Testing performance exceeded our expectations.
I've been searching for a plastic-free jar since 2019. I tried glass, but still had to compromise with a plastic lid. Agropak solved that completely — the jar works effectively with my formulations, and holds up well for the refillable model I've always preferred.
The Founder
Built from a material science background. Driven by what packaging could be.
Payal Patel founded Agropak in 2020 after observing that packaging waste was being treated as an afterthought at every stage of the beauty supply chain. She holds a BE in Biotechnology from PES University and is a Certified Impact Analyst.
Today she leads bio-composite formulation strategy, product development, and commercialisation at Agropak — working with packaging teams at beauty and personal care brands evaluating the transition away from plastic.
