The Starting Point

A biotechnology background. A packaging problem that wasn't being solved.

Payal Patel founded Agropak in 2020 after observing that packaging waste was treated as an afterthought at every stage of the beauty supply chain. Brands knew the problem. Suppliers offered minor adjustments. Nobody was working on the material itself.

She holds a BE in Biotechnology from PES University and is a Certified Impact Analyst. She started from the material up: if the source inputs were agricultural byproducts and the output needed to perform to cosmetic packaging standards, what combination and process would get there?

The answer, reached through sustained material and process development, is the bio-composite jar available for brand evaluation today.

What Agropak Is

A natural fiber materials platform. Not a sustainability label.

Agropak's work is in the material and the manufacturing process. We are not a brand that applies a sustainability label to existing packaging. We built the material from agricultural inputs, tested it independently, and make it available for brands to evaluate on its actual performance.

The Material

Coconut shell and bamboo fiber

Both agricultural processing byproducts. Neither is grown as a primary crop for packaging production. The material contains no petroleum plastic. 93% bio-based carbon content, verified by TÜV SÜD using ASTM D6866.

The Process

Compression molding in Bengaluru

Controlled temperature and pressure molding producing consistent dimensions and wall thickness. The process and formulation are the subject of a filed patent application.

The Testing

Independent, not estimated

Compression strength tested at CIPET, Bengaluru (15,492 N). Bio-based content verified by TÜV SÜD, Frankfurt. Formulation compatibility assessed internally. Independent third-party certification in progress.

The Product

50ml cosmetic jar, three colourways, nine combinations

Noir Black, Mocha Brown, and Sandstone. Lids are interchangeable across all three — giving brands nine distinct presentations from one format. Standard thread and liner. Compatible with face creams, body butter, gel creams, and similar formulations. In production today.

We don't use the word "sustainable" loosely. We use it when we can point to a specific material property, a test result, or an independently verified number. Everything else we call by what it actually is: a design choice, a process decision, or an aspiration.

Where We Are

The jar is not in a lab or a concept stage. It is in production in Bengaluru, has been tested by CIPET and TÜV SÜD, and is available for brand evaluation with our sample program.

Brands across India, Poland, and the UK have evaluated the material. Three have provided testimonials. Commercial supply is priced on inquiry. We confirm category fit before dispatching samples to make sure the conversation is worth both sides' time.
